Introduction to the Bible -
The New Testament
Taught by Peter Phipps
Peter has served the Lord in churches, colleges and
study groups in the UK, Eastern Europe, Asia and North
America. |
- Easy-to-follow one page summaries are given out for each topic,
supplementing the teaching
- In four 45 minute sessions each Tuesday, we aim to see a
panoramic view of the New Testament, covering systematically the
message of each individual book.
- We will zoom in on the vital significance of Jesus Christ – not only
in history, but in his people today.
- We will see how he is presented as God the Saviour and Redeemer,
our risen Lord and King, our Leader and Mentor and Judge, and
our Life and Indwelling Saviour. For ‘Christ is all’.
|
The New Testament Module is offered on Tuesday mornings, for twelve
weeks, 30th September to 16th December: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
[Cost £60 for the module] |

The Ministry of Leadership
Taught by Stuart Bell
Stuart has served in ordained leadership in Wales for
37 years, the last twenty as Rector of the Parish of
Aberystwyth. |
- No-one can teach you to be a leader: either you are or you aren’t.
True or false?
- All the best leaders are reluctant leaders. True or false?
|
The purpose of this module on leadership is to look at what the
Bible teaches on the subject and to raise the bar on our leadership
skills in any and every area of church life. It is not intended just to
be for the ordained but for people who lead in every sphere of
Christian service and also for those who aspire to lead.
The Leadership Module is offered on Friday mornings, for eleven
sessions, 10th October to 19th December: 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
[Cost £60 for the module] |

Self Discovery - Know yourself
Taught by: Robin Morris, Anna Evans, Dr. Leslie Francis, Stuart Bell
and Andy Herrick |
- What is it that makes me, me? Each of us is a unique mix of our genetic make-up, our personal history, and what God is doing in us.
- This module on self-discovery allows us to examine the way in which we relate best to God by looking at various spiritual disciplines and finding the ones which benefit us the most.
- We look at our gift mix and how best that can be released for service in the church; we look at our creativity and find out how the image of God is hidden in all of us; and we look at our basic personality and discover the way that we are ‘wired’ inside.
|
The Self-Discovery Module is offered on Tuesday evenings, 30th September to 16th December: 7-9 p.m. There is also an optional team building weekend away, 3-4th October.
[Cost £60 for the module] |
